Today started out with all 4 of us cuddled in the bed watching Sesame Street. It didnt' take long though for that nice picture to become one of screaming when Megan jumped on top of Dawson and headbutted him. :( So we all got up for the day.

Josh went out around 1pm to buy himself a new pair of pants. The Big and Tall store was having a big 25% off sale and we had a coupon for 5 off a purchase, so he got himself a new pair of paints. The kids napped and I made mashed taters for the big lunch at my inlaws house.

Josh's grandmother on his dad's side was quite a peach today. She seemed to be out to piss me off from the minute we got there and I was trying to put Dawson back to sleep since his afternoon nap was pretty short and she wouldn't lower her voice. Everyone seemed kind of tense actually. His Nanny (MIL's mom) was edgy that dinnerwasn't served at 3:00 sharp since that was the plan. Oh well, dinner was fabulous! Megan played with her cousin Emily who is 9 or 10 I think. They had so much fun together. Megan babbled about "memmy" (Emily) all the way home.

Thursday night is the big tv night around here. Survivor was ok, I just can't seem to get into this season like i have in the past, but I still watch. I taped Friends and it was laugh out loud funny from beginning to end! CSI was good as was ER. ER has lost some of its appeal though. I still like the show, its just changed from the early writing. Anyway, I put that Friends episode up there with the best of all time. My favorites are still the episode where the girls challenge the guys to the trivia game and lose the apartment and the one where Joey puts on all of Chandlers clothes because they are fighting over the chair in Monica's apt.

I got my gingerbread house pieces baked today. I went over to my midwife's (Courtney) house and did them there because she has good flat pans for rolling the dough out on. I spent a good 3 hours working on it while Megan played with her boys. When we left, you could tell that my normally neat clean baby girl had been in the company of 2 preschool boys. :)

Last night the McCaughey (sp?) septuplets were on Dateline again for their yearly bitchfest and to once again try to convince the public of how right they are. :( If they really believe they didn't do anything wrong, why do they have to come on national tv once a year to convince the rest of us? The sad thing is that there are plenty of brainwashed people like my MIL out there who admire her for raising 8 kids. Whatever! If God had meant for humans to give birth to litters, it would be a normal occurance. Never mind that she was told to avoid sex because there were too many eggs. Those kids are a miracle all right, but not one from God, one from science...oh wait, science is god (or so it thinks). I don't remember either one of them saying too much postitive about their kids, just about how they have to spank them and that a few of them have been in life or death situations (such as almost falling out of a 2nd story bedroom window) because they aren't supervised enough. It would have been nice to have seen some hugs or cuddling, but it was pretty much Bobbie McCaughey boot camp.

My parents went to NYC for the Thanksgiving holiday and to see the Macy's T-Day parade. I'm jealous! We will have dinner at my IL's house with Josh's uncle's family and I think my brother is joining us as well. It will be nice to have a day to spend with Josh and I think we will try to build the gingerbread house too. :)

I can't believe I bought gas yesterday for 97.9 cents!!! I really can't remember the last time it was so cheap! The lines were enormous at this place so the it was kind of inconvenient to wait, but we couldn't afford not to.

I got up bright and early this morning (8:30) to get ourselves together and go to music time at the family resource center. We got up there and the music lady never showed up! I was upset that we rushed to get up there and risked a sucky morning with Dawson so that Megan could go to music. :( At least this is a really really cool place and she could stay and play with the kids. There are at least 8 centers for the kids to play in with tons of toys and everything is suited for the kids to be independant. There is even a tiny potty in the bathroom. :) We played for awhile and then went to the art room which we had never used before and Megan painted with water colors. It turned out to be a good morning anyway, but I still wish we had gotten to have music time, I can go use the big play room anytime.

Last night, if I had commited a crime, I could not have been held responsible! I am SOOOO ANGRY with my sewing machine. I dont' know what I did to it, but its not working at all and I havne't had it a year yet. Looks like it might need to be worked on because I have done everything I could think of. My MIL is gonna look at it first but I doubt she will figure it out.

The holiday feelings are slow coming for me this year. I know Christmas is just around the corner and Thanksgiving is this week but I can't get myself excited about it. There is too much else to do.

Tomorrow is my day to bake Cinnamon Bread. I have starter coming out my ears and I am not the least bit excited about turning my kitchen into a bakery. I can't do anything in a neat way. If I cook, you can count on my kitchen turning upside down and looking like a tornado ripped through there. I have 5 bags of starter in the kitchen and it multiplies. I don't know exactly what I will do, but I need to modify the recipe so I don't have so much left over when I'm done. It will be a crock pot day for sure!
