What is it with card giving? I have never been one to care about getting a card from someone. I know it means you are being thought of so thats nice, but I don't hold on to them or anything. Thank you cards though drive me nuts. If you get a gift, and say "thank you" to the person, why do you then later have to send a card too? Dawson's baby shower was when he was like 6 weeks old and I still haven't sent cards. Will people just understand that I'm a busy mom of two kids and have a house and husband to take care of too??

I got in a "cleansing" mode today. I went through the kids clothes and packed up stuff that was too small or unuseful (seasonal) and decided to make use of the built in drawers in the bedroom for Dawsons stuff. It started out in a laundry basket. Then it went to the bassinette. I kept telling myself that we would be moving soon, why bother. Soon came and went and I was tired of looking at a mess. I went through stuffed animals and got rid of some not so cute stuff. I have piles upon piles of yard sale stuff...I guess I know what I will do the first spring weekend.

Dawson's baby dedication is tomorrow at church. Both sets of grandparents and my best friend aunt "RaRa" (Robin) will be there. I think we will go out to lunch afterward.

I called the singer store today and told them i would come get my machine. I think I have found a cheaper place to get it fixed. Not cheaper work, cheaper price though.

My life feels so grand today! A huge weight is gone, I feel completely positive and refreshed (except for the fact that I hardly slept last night!) A new chapter has begun.

Josh came home today and told me that he had been talking to his buddy at his old job today. They just brought a new manager from Kernersville (which is OVER and hour away) to run the new car dept (J's old job) less than a month ago. He had just moved into a new condo and was getting settled. He was fired today! I couldn't believe it! That owner has some bad karma coming to him and from the way he has acted in the past, I would say its just around the corner now.

I have done a freaking number on my sewing machine. I was sewing around a zipper a few weeks ago and accidently bent a needle. Not knowing this, I kept sewing and ruined my timing AND my bobbin casing. I took it to the singer store today and it will be $135 for them to fix it. I'm shopping around tomorrow because that is WAY too much for my budget! :( J said that was almost half of what he originally spent on it. :/ I hope I can find someone else to work on it! After that happened I was too depressed to go look for a present for Dawson. I am gonna go look tomorrow maybe. I had to pay some bills today so I'm not sure I should shop this week.

I made a pot of Spagetti sauce from scratch today and it didn't seem to fit with the 75 degree weather we were having today.

Megan has tatooed my legs and feet with "booboos" aka bandaids. MIL bought some cheap ones at Dollar General that are clear around the edges and each one has a tatoo looking picture on them. MIL had them EVERYWHERE tonight. I guess it was some cheap evening fun. :) I think I'll leave them overnight. :)

Good night my friends...

I hate power trips!!!! Thats all I got to say about that (said in my best forest gump voice)...

I think Dawson must be on the verge of another growth spurt. His sleeping habits are worse during the day and he is nursing a little more at night. I really don't know what I am gonna do when he out grows his 6-9 month stuff. All the hand me downs in size 12 mnth are summer stuff. But, the way this winter is going, it may not matter! Its rediculous to look at your thermometer and see 71 degrees in December!!! Its supposed to be cold and snowy. I guess I can dream about a white Christmas.

Money still isn't coming to us as much as I welcome it. Things are starting to look at the dealership like they might turn around soon, it just always seems like the same shit, different week. Josh got on a list to have all the recently discharged bankruptcys sent to him so he can contact the people. I hope this becomes a fruitful avenue for us. He was told the average was something like 20 contacts a week and he would sell about 2-3 out of those 20. WELL, he got 68 this week. I hope and pray they will lead him to a few people who need a new (used actually) car.

I worked out a trade with someone online for a waldorf babydoll for Dawson's Christmas present. I know he is too little to need toys or care if he gets a present, but I wanted to have something for his first Christmas. Its not gonna happen so now I need to go shopping for something else. :( I was excited to have a handmade doll for him since I got Megan a handmade doll last year for her first Christmas. I feel like its too late to start on one myself (having never made one before). {{sigh}}

WOO HOO~It's fixed! I am an HTML idiot so I have spent the last week or so trying to play around with my template and finally my good friend Corrie helped me out and I'm up and blogging again. BIG DEEP CLEANSING BREATH......

I'm not so sure where to start. I guess I could start with our exciting trip to the ER last Saturday night. It all started after I had gotten Dawson peacfully asleep for the night in our bedroom and heard "OMG! I think I just broke Megan's wrist!" I couldnt' imagine what had happened but I ran in there and found Megan hysterical and Josh equally so. I picked her up and ran into the spare bedroom where her stuff is and laid her down. I found out that she had been jumping off the couch and reached out for his hand and he felt something pop in her wrist when she hit the ground. I wiggled it around and it sure felt limp enough to worry me as well so I got her dressed (since she was naked) and got Dawson up and we all hit the road to Caldwell Memorial . Half way there I turned around an see her rubbing her face with that hand and point out to Josh that she is using it. He is upset that his little girl was hurt and just wanted to make sure. It was still a little swollen so I agreed to have it looked at. The dr was great, he felt around and she seemed fine the whole time and was putting pressure on it by then so he didn't see need for an x-ray but agreed still that it looked a bit swollen so he told us to watch her activity and come back if something wasn't right.

Our house is hoplessly in limbo it seems. I dont' see anything getting completed and by the looks of things it will be closer to Valentines day before I can think about packing. :( We are going to Gatlinburg to look at a timeshare courtesy of my parents that weekend. They paid our trip that was $99 and all we have to do is get there and eat. It should be a nice time away but now I'm worried that if J has to take time off work for that, I will be stuck with either no money that month or moving by myself...sigh. We did get the cabinet tops installed inthe kitchen last week. Everything major though is being held up by the fact that my FIL is doing the electric wireing in his spare time which means a little here and a little there. I told MIL when this started that it would take 6 months and unfortunatly I was wrong, it will probably take 8 months.

Money has been a sore subject this month once again. Josh went on a business trip at the beginning of November and his dad told him to take their phone card so he wouldn't have to use his. Well, the bill came this week and everytime I see or talk to his Nanny (they live in the same house and she sees the bills and helps with them too) she mentions that our part was $68. I say, I'll pay you back as soon as I'm able. Today she calls and then just mentions as an aside that our part is $68 and she will pay the rest if I'll pay $50. I finally just said "look, I told Josh to take our phone card and his dad told us not to use ours, to use his. I don't know why he told us that when we have one if we were gonna have to cough up the money anyway. I'll pay it as soon as I'm able but all I have at the moment is grocery money." She says, well dont' worry about it, I didnt' know. ROAR!!!!

Well, its after 2 and I'm still wearing my stylish nursing PJ's from Sears, so I reckon I should get off my butt and get dressed.
Testing comments...if this doesn't work, I have screwed something up HORRIBLY!
