Megan's party was a success. There were about 20 people there. I fixed hotdogs (kosher for me thanks.) on the George Foreman grill and made baked beans in the crockpot. The cake drove me batty, but turned out ok. I threw the first one to the birds...it was stange tasting. The frosting was a PITA too. Its my fault though for never following directions closely. It was a 2 layer yellow cake with yellow frosting between the layers and purple frosting on top with moon and stars decorating it. Mom brought fruit salad and we had a veggie tray as well.

She got some books, an activity table, playdough (YAY), some pooh toys, a Bear in the Big... puzzle, a Blues Clues handy dandy notebook, and some art stuff. She must think that Christmas comes once a week now. :p

Still no news on the job. More and more I hope it doesn't turn out. I dont' know where I hope he goes to work, I just feel (and have felt for a long time) that he should leave the car business. It snowed all day and he came home early. For most adults, he came home on time, but for us, 5:00 is VERY early! I usually don't see him until after 8:00pm. I told him that it was nice to have him home at that time and I would love for him to find a job with more reasonable hours. He agreed. Its wierd though, evertime we start to feel like he should move on, a job opportunity opens up and we feel hopeful about it. It never works out though so I dont' know what we are hopeing for this time.

I'm doing A LOT of crafting these days. I crocheted a hat for my sister's birthday present. My younger brother saw it and said that that style is very popular these days amoung skateboarders. Its a simple tightfitting beanie type hat. SO, he suggested I make several in differnt colors and styles and he will market them for me as well as come up with some sort of design for a label. I'm very hopeful. They are a cute style. I make them for kids too. If they work out in the stores, I am going to look at offering them at craft bizarres too. I have found several styles I want to try out...I need more hours in a day, thats for sure!

Well, he heard from Valley Chevrolet and they decided to hire someone else. It didn't surprise me really. He had as many negatives up there as he did positives. So, that wasn't meant to be. He said the interview at the Cadilac store went well, but he was super intimidated by it. I'm not too thrilled with the thought of him driving further to work and having more stress from a really busy store. We'll see if that one works out. 1/2 of me doesn't want either of them to work out so he will go back to school and the other hopes that he can get a really well paying job for just long enough for us to get things financially settled so we aren't so poor once he does go back.

I am going to Sam's Club later for groceries for Megan's party. I think we are gonna just have hotdogs, chips and cake. Maybe some baby carrots for a veggie. :)

Last night, my parents took us out to eat at Red Lobster. J's parents kept Megan and it was nice. Dawson slept the entire time in the sling.

The grocery fairy showed up this morning. Josh's mom cleaned out the cabinets and picked up some milk and things for me and left them on the front step. I guess a little birdy told her my cabinets were bare. I was going to the store today, but now I don't have to get so much. ;)
