I got my dad's credit card today and went to get my sewing machine. (I can only leave it there for so long). He closed 15 min before I got there. GRRR!

I hope to have more coherant thoughts on the weekend by monday. I'll be offline tomorrow so hopefully I'll have the chance to think about it all. I'm sad, angry, and confused all at once. I've always been a bit naive so I'm not sure what to make of some of the stuff I'm hearing this weekend.

Mimi got to play with her cousin Emily this afternoon. She loves to spend time with her. I think shes 9 and I'm planning to have her come over once a week or so this summer to help me during the day with the kids. I can't wait! Bubba is just growing too fast! 20 lbs already and on his way out of size 12 months. The length is still ok on most of it, but some of its too tight once you get a cloth diaper on him. :/ I never dreamed I'd have such a big baby!

Goodnight friends. Hope the rest of your weekend is restful. I will see you all monday. ;)
Josh's answers (particularly to numbers 2 and 4 are more interesting than mine, so I'm gonna let him answer the Friday Five too. :) (I told him he needed a blog!)

1 . Have you ever had braces? Any other teeth trauma?
yes, brace for 4 years. (0k, so far not that interesting, on to question 2)
2. Ever broken any bones?
Every finger except the right thumb (4 different breaks in one of them) left wrist, the left thumb split open and the bone protruded through the skin (shudder), right foot (had to be reconstructed later on), collar bone, big toe on left foot (kicked a wall), Everything but wrist and toe was from playing baseball...yes he is a VERY physical player.

3. Ever had stitches?
Foot reconstruction, thumb surgery, right leg from a deep dog scratch

4. What are the stories behind some of your [physical] scars?
Right big toe-he stepped on a toothpick when he was about 9. It eventuall worked its way through the other side of his toe (BIG SHUDDER). He played baseball for 2 weeks on it while it bled and oozed. (ICK)
Scars on his hand where he dove through a glass door he somehow forgot was there at his grandmothers. (was that me laughing? LOL)
Scar oh his hand from thumb surgery the time the bone came out of his hand. (He can do this gross thing with his thum where he bends it sideways.)
Scar on leg from dog attack
Scar on his foot from re-construction. This surgery was a big deal. They had to rebreak it and he was on crutches for a long time.
Lots of little things all over.

Do you get the idea that my husband is a wreck waiting to happen?? LOL

5. How do you plan to spend your weekend? He worked all day today and tomorrow hes helping his dad on the house after church and lunch.
The heat was turned off and I woke this morning to icicles on my pillow. Luckily the heavy comfortere was at the foot of the bed and it made us all nice and snuggly again.
I always think about interesting things to blog about when I'm up at 5am with a baby who isn't rested enough to be awake but isn't ready to go back to sleep either. Of course now that I'm sitting here, I have nothing to say...

My head is spinning anyway.

I want to go see Quidam this spring at Lowes Motor Speedway. The commercial looks awesome. Its pretty pricey though. $45 for adults and $31 for kids. I'm sure D would be free...I need to tell J that we should set a goal to do this. We never go anywhere together. Never have dates, we really don't have the money for them. We need to get through this crap. We deserve to do fun things as a family. We deserve a rich full life!!!! I want to have fun and enjoy the time on this earth I have. I want to get through this shit and move on! I deserve better, Josh deserves better and my kids certainly do! I don't understand why the true scoundrals in the world are all living the good life while the good people (like ourselves...pat on back) are left struggling. Oh well, life sucks, then you blog. :p
We had to turn on the air conditioner last night. It got in the upper 70's yesterday and forgot the heat was on. By 8:00 it was boiling in our house and the windows weren't working fast enough. Right now the system is off. It will probably only be 70 today and they are calling for possible snow by next tuesday. Weird!

I was pretty productive yesterday. Did the floors, kitchen, sorted through some old stuff and tossed a pile of pictures I'll never need. I tried to toss my old clothes from when I was a kid and just couldn't do it. Some of it is not useful at all to me, but it was mine. Megan is gonna be retro cute in some of my old dresses though, I can't wait to put them on her. :) I also found 3 of my diaper covers. They are really beautiful. Too bad I didn't find them sooner. Megan is in panties and 2 of them are ruffly, not for a boy!
Well, I was gonna show them, but I went to my Ofoto account and it says there are no pictures in the album, but they were there yesterday. :(
Oh well, thanks to Ro for the inspiration to toss stuff. Just so you know Ro, I didn't count so I have no idea if I was pitching stuff in multiples of 9 or not. :p If you can give me a compelling reason to go look, I will. I'm also sorting through all the kids stuff and selling a bunch in our MOPS fundraiser next month. We are doing a consignment sale. We each get to keep 70% of what we make and 30% goes to MOPS.

I made the best batch of Oatmeal/Chocolate chip cookies last night.

ER was strange. I understand Dr. Green not wanting to appear he is choosing between his daughters, but his older daughter very well may have killed his baby and IMO he didn't go far enough to get info out of Rachel. I would have called the police. If nothing else, they might find out who is dealing the stuff. I completely understand Elizabeth not wanting to talk to her. What am incredibly scary situation. I remember when Megan was just becoming mobile, we were at J's Nanny's house and Megan found a pill on the floor. Thankfully J's mom saw her and got it out of her hand becaue M put EVERYTHING in her mouth and it could have killed her. It was a super strong sleeping pill. Josh now wishes he still didn't know that. They are much more careful to account for all meds now!

I don't like Rachel moving out of Joey's apt on Friends. I just wish they could move beyond the whole Ross and Rachel thing. I know its his baby, but his attitude about being the only one that should be there for her is stupid. I was impressed with how real her belly looked last night though.

Its time for the Friday Five...

1 . Have you ever had braces? Any other teeth trauma? My life if full of teeth trauma. I wore braces for 3 years. Then when I was 20 I had surgery to correct a problem with TMJ which left my grill all jacked up. I will need braces again in the future to correct the problem because only 2 of my teeth touch each other. I wear a bite guard all day and all night.
2. Ever broken any bones? Nope - But I did sprain my foot once...that hurt!

3. Ever had stitches? After my surgery and after Megan'r birth. :(

4. What are the stories behind some of your [physical] scars? Can't think of any

5. How do you plan to spend your weekend? No plans. We are boring boring people.

What is this crap in between the prongs on my diamond???

After thinking on the artificial wombs for a few days it hit me...science will one day own our fertility. Really, dr's and pharmaceutical companies already do. Birth control, abortion, invetro and other fertility treatments all fill their pockets. Our bodies aren't any good anymore to carry and birth a baby and if you don't believe it, just ask any gOBlin! In another 10 years, they will be telling dr's in medical school that the womb is a dangerous place and fill their heads with statistics of miscarriages caused by falls or such. Women will be persuaded to hand over their eggs with their partner's sperm so their baby can grow in a safe place and she can go on with her life as normal. I even envisioned a world where scientists ruled us by sorting through chromosomes one by one to develop just the right babies. Of course mom's and dad's may not even be aware of what is being manipulated in their baby. Scary sci-fi stuff there, but really, are we that far away from the capabilities??? I doubt it! I only learned last week that an artificial womb was in development. How many other developments are out there that we are clueless about.

I realize I didn't do the Friday Five this week, so I'll go ahead now...
1. What cologne or perfume do you wear? Does baby spit up count??? LOL I have some "nautica" perfume that is pretty that I only wear occasionally. (Josh bought it for me)

2. What cologne or perfume do you like best on the opposite sex? I can't remember the name of it. Josh doesn't wear any.

3. What one smell can you not stomach? Cooking venison, I can eat it in a few dishes that mask the smell, but usually I know it immediatly.

4. What smell do you like that others might consider weird? I don't guess I *like* it, but I don't think that breastfed baby poop stinks. It has a sweet smell to me.

5. How do you plan to spend your weekend? I didn't do much of anything. Josh and I talked some about future stuff, but we hung out at home or with his parents most of the weekend.
I am thankful for :
My freedom to eat meat
My friends and family
The money that we do have
My mommy came home last night (shes been gone for 3 weeks!)
worsted weight cotton yarn :p

To quote Eddie Money, "I wanna go back, and do it all over." What would you change if you could go back? I think I would have NEVER gotten a credit card. I would have talked Josh out of the Blazer lease, I would have saved more money while I was working and not gotten involved with a certain multi-level marketing company based in Grand Rapids, MI. :P
I thought this was amusing...We were headed through a little community called Rhodhiss that is down the road from us yesterday to see one of J's friends. Rhodhiss is really an old rundown little town. All the houses could really be torn down, they aren't worth sinking any money into. Its redneck hell basically. We were passing the old dam where the water plant is and on the left is a new big metal (storage looking) building with a sign on it that says "The Dam Tool Store." Very fitting for this town I might say, but I got a laugh. :p
