EESH! I see its been a few days. The kids have been sick and everytime I sit down I either have someone in my lap or I'm too tired to post. So, the update is that we went to the dr. on thursday because the cough just wouldn't go away. As always, D was well the very next day despite having an ear infection that I totally missed. :( I was given abx and as far as everyone knows, he is taking them but I never got it filled. Even my totally mainstream sister (who is an audiologist) says not to use abx until the infection has lingered for over 2 weeks. If I had needed to I would have used OGR and now that I know, I will use it next time. Megan is almost better but has a swollen lymphnode in her neck that hurts. J's mom freaked out and his nanny made a comment that I wish I had heard. The only reason I know is that I heard MIL say "well she did call DeeAnn, shes waiting for her to call back." DeeAnn is the family nurse. I was sure it was a swollen gland or something but not sure if it meant it was still viral. Sooo, she called back and said to just make sure it wasnt' getting bigger. I don't know why no one trusts me to handle a situation. J's mom was giving me instructions on what to tell DeeAnn when she called and stuff. I just said that I intended too. THings like this make me worry about what we will go through with them right next door. I'm not looking forward to it when I think of things like this.

My plans for the day were to go to Sams' but Megan wasn't up to it. I ended up taking her to my mom's and taking D to run errands. Josh's former employer made an error it seems on his final check and he didn't get paid this week. UGH! We have like $50 in the account until next friday. As soon as my daughter gets off my lap for bed, I'm starting a few ebay auctions. We need some cash! Of course, if we knew this was going to happen, we wouldn't have bought J a pair of pants or gone out to dinner or bought the stuff at Target the other day (all stuff that was really needed though.). Anyhoo, both kids napped at my mom's and I did a few errands by myself. D took the longest nap he has taken in a long time. I guess that mom's couch is comfy. ;) I know I said I wasn't going there, but Thomas slept all day and stayed out of the way.

We have been in the house most of the week. I'm hoping the kids will feel up to church tomorrow morning. My house organization is coming along, but I need to buy some container things for filing and such. I planned on getting that stuff this week but it can wait a little longer, not too much though.

Josh is enjoying his new job. It feels like he never left he said. Someone wrote "welcome home" on his time card Thursday morning. Another one of the old team members started on Sunday so with the exception of 2 guys, this is the same group he worked with for years. He got some deals started today and is feeling confident that he made the right decision. IT was hard to see the value in the hard times we have been going through, but I guess maybe we had to get through that to get back to a good place.

Well, i'm off to get this child in the bed, take some ebay pics so my brother can resize them for me, copy some more loose recipes in my note book and then hit the hay. I'll see everyone on Monday. :)

I forgot to blog yesterday that Josh was rehired at Valley Chevrolet. That is where he worked for 3+ years before he quit last July. He didn't get along with the managment at that time but those guys are long gone and his best bud Jody has taken over the sales dept. Jody worked there for like 9 years before he was let go last January. Anyway, we talked about all the pros and cons before he decided to persue going back there and it all came down to the fact that Valley closes at 7 during the week and 6 on Sat. year round. Randy Marion (where he has worked since Oct) is getting ready to stay open til 9 all week long starting next month! That wasn't going to work for us...I already feel overwhelmed most nights being alone til 8:30. We would really never have any time together if he didn't get home til 9:30 and with us moving soon, the extra time in the evening will be good for working on the house or yard.
Its kind of ironic that all this blogging about organization and homemaking is going on. I am in the middle of revamping my home and schedule right now. While I don't aspire to be anal or the right hand woman of Martha Stewart, I am trying to make our home more livable because I find that my moods are mellower (that a word?) when the house is strait. It doesn't need to be perfect by any stretch, but when I look around and see clutter (which is constant it seems) my attitued turns to rage and I get pissy with everyone. Josh doesn't help and I need to talk to him again about that. When the kids get up from nap, I'm off to find "Sidetracked Home Executives" and "Confessions of an Organized Homemaker" at the library. Hope they have them! I will still keep frozen fish sticks and breaded chicken in the freezer and I don't plan on OAMC anytime soon, but something more organized needs to happen around here before I totally flip my lid. The new house will be SO much easier to keep clean but there is proabably at least 8 weeks til we can move. (POUT) It has taken forever for this renovation to happen, but it will be right when its finally done. I am seeing the blessing in it too because if I had to move right now with Dawson, I would be crazy. He is right in the middle of his clingy, don't let go of me mama stage. Today he dove from J's lap into mine on the couch. Not to nurse or anything, hes just Mama's boy I suppose. :D

You're the HREF tag- you need someone to lean on and take care of you. You can be shy but you shine in difficult situations.

Megan is sick now too. I will be back when everyone gets over this. Dawson is still fighting it (Bless his Heart). I can't get any echinacea in Megan so I'm off to buy gummy bears made from it later this morning and some homeopathy for her. Her cough is tight and hacking. Poor baby didn't have a good night. She wanted to watch Barney at 11:00. I have the same hacking cough and sore throat. I hope this ends soon. :(

I give up. This keyboard is screwed. Guess I need a new one.
The Camaro finally sold. If you remember, my daddy loaned us $400 to buy an '84 Camaro (it cost $300 but we needed the other $100 to get the door fixed.) and Josh just sold it for $1500. It will be final in the morning. The people fell in love with it so they will be back at lunch time tomorrow to take it home. I'm so glad to be rid of it and the extra cash will come in handy!
