Its on now!
otherwise titled: I now have a crawler on my hands

Dawson has been doing this inchworm crawl thing for a few weeks now. He would get up on his hands and knees and move his arms forward. Then throw his arms forward, land on his belly and drag his knees back up so hes back where he started. He was getting around pretty well like that, but it was slow and frustrating for him. Tonight I set him down to run into the kitchen and drain my spagetti noodles. He started crying and when I ran back in there, he was on his way out the LR door. Time to start watching what is left in his reach for sure. Hes also going through the develomental leap insomnia. He sleeps for 10 min and then wakes up every evening for an extra hour and 1/2. Its driving me nuts. I remember this with Megan, but she was easy to put back to sleep when she stirred awake.

Mimi saw her first horse today. Her Nana's first cousin owns horses and they were having a 4H show at the fair grounds. They went but M never would touch one. Instead, she let her Barbie Doll (her new favorite toy) sit on the saddle and she fell in manuer. Lovely!

Josh has a customer interested in one of the last 2001 vans on the lot. If he sells it monday, he will not only make a nice hefty sum, we will also win a trip to Charleston, SC for a weekend. Everyone cross your fingers, I have been dying to see Charleston.

Thats about right...

Take the What High School
Stereotype Are You?
quiz, by Angel.
I would have loved to have had the chance at doing this in high school. Josh is the duct tape king. I had an '88 Acura Legend when I was a senior in high school and the summer after I graduated, I backed into a car and my back bumper blew up basically. I've never seen anything like it. Well, I couldn't afford to fix it so Josh duct taped it and then painted it. It looked good for a few months. It was hard to tell, but then the paint fell off it and I finally got it fixed for good. His motto is "if you can't fix it, duct tape will."
We worked some more on that nasty rock garden yesterday. Josh helped me shovel out all the stones (or a lot of them anyway) and then we talked about what we wanted for the landscaping ofthe house. I told him I wanted raised beds all the way around but most likely I'll only get them on one side and part of the front. It is going to take a LOT of work to getting it looking nice though. I want to make a nice garden with tulip bulbs down the driveway too. Oh the money we will need!!! It will be worth it though. If a house is getting a whole new inside, the outside can't be left alone! The tiller is still broken. :( I'm frustrated. I'll be glad to get tomatoes this year. sigh

Well if anyone is still out there, I'll do a quick update. Its too freakin' hot to grow vegetables I fear. I've lost all my broccoli but one (that isn't growing) and most of my peas. I've started them both over again and hope that I'll be able to keep them alive. I planted some herb plants and some tomatoe plants and they look great. I've got some canteloup to plant too. Wednesday my real garden is gonna be plowed and it isn't in constant sun all day so maybe it will do better. I'm hopeful.

Tomorrow it will be a week since I've eaten meat. I have had fish, but I didn't give up fish. I am really likeing the challenge of finding yummy dinners though and so far Josh is agreeable with it all. He eats meat when his mom fixes it or when he goes out to lunch. Tonight was really yummy. Homemade veggie pizza. The crust was made with sun dried tomatoes and herbs added. I was pretty impressed with my self. I have never made a pizza completely from scratch. I put saute'ed onions, red peppers and squash along with some black olives, sliced tomatoes and mozzerella cheese on it. Everyone but my daddy loved it. He said "its different." LOL! He did eat most of it though. I also made a pineapple casserole for dessert. I'm so glad its time for fresh strawberries and canteloupe to be in season! I love seeing them sitting in the grocery store and not having to pay $3 a piece for them.

Megan is SO attached these days to her daddy. She wakes up and says "no daddy bye-bye!" Its killing Josh! He comes home and she firmly attaches herself to his leg for the rest of the evening. I'm afraid I didn't handle her that well today. She is wanting so much one on one attention and Dawson is demanding it as well these days. I got upset at her for nothing and felt pretty crappy for the rest of the afternoon. But, her Grandma Beam came over and after a short nap she was feeling better.
