Yesteday was a nice day. I got some cleaning done in the morning and then we went out in the after noon with my mom. I got an Icee maker for the birthday party and mom and I went in together for a baby gift for some high school friends having a baby shower this weekend. This mom is on bedrest so I'm not sure she will even be there, but I'm going and I'm taking Dawson so hopefully we can talk about him being born at home. :D I love being asked where he was born and then getting to respond to the questions when people get over their shock! I've gotten some pretty funny reactions too!
Anyway, back to yesterday...I've been promising Megan a new ball since I ran over hers on Mother's day so after not finding one at Target, we went to TRU and she picked out a lovely pink barbie ball. (Thats my girl! LOL) I took a pair of J's pants back to the big and tall store to ask if he could repair them (they tore and it wasn't in the seam. The material wasn't worn either). He said that he would just replace them. I got him a size smaller becuase of the weight he has lost. I'm so glad I asked! Josh was just going to throw away a $50 pair of pants!!! MEN! We had dinner with J's parents. His mom has done really well cooking for me since I've gone veggie. Even if they do a chicken like last night, she makes sure there is enough variety otherwise. She made corn, broccoli, cut up canteloupe and biscuits. MMMM! I could eat like that every day!

Here is my list of stuff to do today:

Serge the edge of the basket line and sew
Water garden
Go to library (pay fines UGH)
Do floors
finish organizing craft stuff
Homemade gnocchi for dinner

My sister just sent me an email begging and pleading with me not to get my eyebrow pieced. Heres the quote:

Whenever I see someone with a pierced eyebrow, I swear, they are dirty and cheap looking or dark and scary looking! WAAAAH! Don't ruin your beautiful face and perfect skin! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ROAR!!!!

I responded:

A little judgemental are we?

I know my mom is gonna freak, but I didn't expect that from my sister!
why is it when you try to clean up you end up with a bigger mess?
Or maybe its just me. I went on an organization binge this morning and I guess one thing always leads me to another. Soon I had all my sewing stuff, craft stuff, magazines and other misc stuff everywhere. I think I finally got things sorted out so I guess it was worth it I've still got a hug pile of magazines to go through and take out stuff I want to keep. Then I need to file it. A friend of my MIL's sews for a company that makes sheets and comforters and stuff. She gave us a big bag full of those little zippered baggies that you buy sheets in so I'm organizing as much as I can into them. Then I need to label them and find somewhere to store them. I also put all of Megans dress up jewlrey in one of them and she felt special. :) She is with her Nana right now at the grocery store and after Dawson wakes up we need to get a birthday present and a baby gift for Saturday. Tis the season for weddings as well. Josh's friend called last night finally to give us wedding details (everyone else had gotten invitations, but Josh who is in the wedding had no details...this is to be expected from chris though...remember hes the one who left the church 30 minutes before our wedding...with the rings!!!) I need to find them a gift and make sure Josh gets fitted for his tux. Chris didn't mind the kids coming to the wedding but I think I'll have my mom come and sit with Dawson in the nursery and then we can take them both to the reception. J's parents will be at the wedding so I think Megan will want to sit with us in the church. I have a bunch of errands to run today. Its a nice day for running errands though. Not too hot out (yet anyway).

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee HAW!!

This afternoon I got bored and decided to list a huge pile of books and CD's on Amazon. I just got notice that I sold my first book! :D

I feel like today was much better with the kids. Megan is still quite agressive toward Dawson, but I think I handled it better anyway. When I was able to stop and think about it, it felt hormonal. I've not started my period yet, but could I still be having cyclical PMS type hormone changes? Anyway, I felt better today and it rained for the first time in awhile too. We have really needed that!

Harry Potter was a fun movie and really well made. I've not read the books but I felt the movie was pretty scary. It bothers me that such young kids have seen the movie and are reading the books. I don't think I could agree with my kids being exposed to it before the age of 10 or 11. Oh well, there were a few scenes that were too intense for me, and I enjoy that sort of thing. (maybe because it invoved kids?)

Josh rented Texas Rangers for us to watch. I"ve never heard of it, but apparently there was nothing else in the whole place. (his words. LOL)
I never hear breastfeeding mom's complain about carrying their breasts with them when they go out but it never fails to hear a bottle feeder complain about what a drag it is to carry bottles everywhere they go. {rolls eyes}
