I HATE BERMUDA GRASS!!!!

AHHHH! I spent about 2 hours weeding this morning in my flower garden. Bermuda grass is the most vile creation on this earth and unlike other horrible pests, I fail to see that it has ANY purpose other than to aggrivate gardeners. I did manage to pull out several large root systems, but I know they are still down there and will come back once again. It might sound funny but I felt a sense of accomplishment when I was able to get a hold of a large root system and throw it away. Good ridance! :P I came in and suddenly felt really weak. I described it like hypoglycemia even though I have no idea what that really feels like. I felt as if I was about to pass out though. I rested and ate lunch and felt better soon. Our plans were to go see the American Legion baseball team that my daddy helps out with play tonight, but it started raining around 6 and we decided to just stay home.

Watching the news tonight made me sick. The catholic church decided against a no tolerance policy for sex abusers. Now maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way and correct me if I am wrong because I am not a catholic, but it seems to me that if a man is accused of sexual abuse (especially of a child) he would then be thrown in prison. I see no indication that those measures would be taken toward a priest who is proven guilty of such an act. The article here states that they will be sent to some sort of half-way house and will continue to be financially supported by the church...THE CHURCH!!! That money comes from the men and women that make up the church doesn't it?? I know and love many catholics, but I have zero respect for their "church" now. (well, it has rapidly gone downhill over the past coupld of months and it hit rock bottom today.)

Watched an interesting story on Dateline MSNBC tonight. They did a story on a professor at the University of Illinois who does a class each semester with the eventual goal of getting to the bottom of who Deep Throat was. They haven't officially declared who it is, but based on the research, the students guess is Patrick Buchanan. Wowza! IN any event, they have narrowed it down to 7 people. I have never seen "All the Presidents Men" but I think I'll be looking for it in video stores now. This is really interesting to me now. I am looking forward to an update on this story as his next set of students investigate further where this set has left off. Here is the student's website.

American Idol

I have been watching "American Idol" the past 2 nights and its been HILARIOUS! First of all, there are some majorly disolusioned folks out there who think they have talent. Oh my! The guy running the contest is a real ass-hole, but I guess you could say he calls it like it is. The first episode was so funny though. Josh and I kept on waking up Dawson. The guy I'm pulling for has def parents but I can't find his picture up this week (hes not in the weekly featured group). I don't normally get into this sort of things, but I guess since nothing else is on in the summer, why not?

I need to start working on a dress to wear to a wedding next weekend (22nd) so I think I'll be offline more for the next week or so while I work on it.

Nothing was missing from my purse thankfully! I had to make another trip to hell mart anyway. (megan rode in the buggy this time LOL) The training wheels we bought were the wrong size so I had no choice. We were in and out without a hitch.

Josh is actually writing bills right now! He hasn't written bills (or wanted to) since we have been married. I have been praying for the day he would take over the responsibility for our finances! I am tired of being the one worrying about whether or not we have the money to pay our bills (this month we do fortunatly). I have asked in the past if he would and earlier this week we sat down and organized everything to his liking and now hes doing it!

Today has been a fairly good day all around. The best part was creating a mosaic back splash in my new kitchen. I have tile going around the top back of the counter and around the back of the stove, but we left a 12x18" square behind the stove for me to add color with. We found some old fiesta plates (not antiques or anything) and broke them up. I now have a way-cool peach/pink/yellow/turquois/cobalt blue mosaic backsplash. :D I can't wait to move into my house!
Oh SHIT!
I left this morning to take Dawson to the chiropracter. Who by the way got a phone call from Aviva Jill Romm while I was there, thought that was pretty cool...anyway, I noticed that my purse was not in the car like it should have been. I called Josh to see if he remembered taking it in the house last night or specifically remembered getting it out of the buggy. He said no. (he is the one that parked the buggy). So, I got home and looked everywhere and it wasn't there. I just called walmart and they said they found it this morning when they emptied the parking lot. It sat outside all night with Megan's baby doll! (which was not noticed missing.) I can't believe Josh missed that, but thankfully its still there and hopefully nothing was stolen out of it. Thank you God!!!

A nice weedend!

Yesterday morning I got the kids ready and we went strait out to some yard sales. At the first house, Megan spotted a 12" bike from the car and off we went to inquire. It had a broken training wheel so I knew that would have to be replaced but didn't notice anything too visibly wrong. $2.00-SOLD! I picked up a dress for Megan and some fabric (6 yards of a floral print to make myself a dress...for 50 cents!!! and some quilting cotton) At the last house I got an umbrella stroller for a buck! Well, the bike was a bit worse off than I originally thought but Josh is working on it. I'm so thankful he is handy! We went to Hell-mart today to look for a chain, training wheels and helmet. As soon as we walked in the door Megan started acting like someone had just fed her speed or something. IT was hilarious! She was all over the place...
"LOOK! My mama, my daddy!"
"Yes Mimi, its a fly swatter."
"LOOK! My mama, my daddy!"
"Yes Mimi, its a pillow."
"LOOK! My mama, my daddy!"
"Yes Mimi, its a baseball."

It was SO cute but at the same time exhausting. She talked the entire time (more like exclaimed) and ran all over the place. I know now why we don't go there. I think its only the 2nd or 3rd time I've taken her there and hopefully we won't have to go back anytime soon!

My mom paid for the helmet set. IT came with elbow and knee pads and a bike horn. She is SOOO excited about her bike and has been telling Josh since he came home from work yesterday to "Fix my bike daddy!!!" I figure we saved about 1/2 the price of a new bike and since this bike is purple and red instead of pink or black like all the ones at Walmart, Dawson can use it too and if it survives, we will just sell it one day and make some of our money back.

I'm thankful shes asleep, the talking needed to cease.
