Mimi: Make Mimi happy mama!
Me: Make you happy?
Mimi: Aye (means "yes")
Me: How can Mama make you happy?
Mimi: More booby mama! More booby! (big wide eyes and grin)

I just finished watching yesterday's episode of Trading Spaces (MIL tapes them for me). Laurie did nothing but hold her hand on her barely pregnant belly. Every time they showed her she was holding her stomach. You couldn't even tell that she is pg yet! Why didn't she just wear a shirt with screen printing on it that says "LOOK AT ME I'M PREGNANT!" Sheesh.
(There is no evidence that I ever did this and if anyone says that I did, I will vehemently deny it! LOL!)
To Do today

Find a plant or other birthday present for GG
Feed my parents animals

Floors
Buy socks for Josh
Buy groceries
Dawson seems to be getting his first molars. :( He has huge red bumps in his gums and one appears to be bruised. Poor guy.
Megan went with her nana to Sam's Club today to get a birthday cake for her GG. When they were leaving, I yelled "bye honey!" Terri stopped and said "mimi said 'bye honey mama!'" LOL!
We had a birthday dinner for J's Nanny tonight. She turns 71 tomorrow. J was going to come home early but it didn't work out that way unfortunatly.
Blah, nothing interesting really to say. I should be in bed.

Oh, btw, I LOVE my hair color and as soon as I can find the battery charger, I'll take a pic with our digital camera for all my curious readers. :)

Goodnight

title goes here

I got most of my list done today, but what didn't get done was fine with me. I had to feed my parents animals again today so we went to Target while we were over near Hickory. I had to get a small list of bathroom essentials and some plastic storage containers for the kids too small clothes. I decided while I was in the hair section that I would like to update my color a bit and in about 20 more minutes I'll be washing away the residue to a new blond color. I've not been blond since I cut off the sun bleached layers in high school. I started coloring my hair auburn before we got married and haven't done any color since Megan was 6 months old except for highlights a few times. I decided screw the highlights and just went for the blond. I hope it looks good. Ok, enough about that, I don't want to think about it again until the timer goes off.

Terri (MIL) called me around 2:30 from a local hosery. Vanity Fair Sportswear started their seasonal family clothing sale today and there were some good deals. She picked up a $3 pair of cargo jeans for me and some shirts for Josh. Well, the jeans were WAY too big for me so she stayed with the kids while I ran out to exchange them. I couldnt' find anything in a 10 so I started looking at other things. I found some boxes in a back corner that were labled $1-$3 and contained childrens clothes. There was nothing wrong with this stuff except that it was the wrong season. I picked up a big pile of stuff for the kids to wear later and paid $1 for everything except for a dress shirt for Dawson that was $3. I got myself some thongs and will get more tomorrow if I like them. (2 for $3) On the way home it was raining and my Blazer hydroplaned when I went to break for a stop sign. I wasn't going to stop so I whipped it into the church parking lot that is on the corner of the road I was on and the road I had to turn onto. That was close and freaked me out a little. When I got home, my friend Robin (Aunt Ra-Ra)_ was here and she stayed for dinner. From there the night went downhill until Josh came home and took over for me. Poor M was really overtired but refused to go to bed without her "Pooh Bear Story" from daddy. He makes up stories using the Pooh characters and she lives for her story every night. It makes him feel special..of course hes special, hes daddy!

Poor Megan

Well today started with finding that one of her "mosquito bites" looked huge and red. It was horrible. Josh scared me into making a dr. appt because he was so sure it was a spider bite. Well, I talked to a nurse and she convinced me to come in. I got home and checked online. It became obvious to me that this was not a spider bite and just an inflamed bug bite but before I could call Josh and discuss it with him all hell broke loose. (not really, lol) Megan whapped Dawson upside the head with a book and I went over to where she was in the floor, took the book away and grabbed her hands to stand her up to walk to the couch to talk to her. She flipped out and jerked her knees up causing her arms to snap strait suddenly. I didn't realize anything had happened and took her to the couch and talked to her while she cried (not unusual) I went back to my reading at the computer and she continued to cry and then said "arm hurting mama." She was holding her wrist and refused to move it. After I became sure it was broken or something, I called Josh to come home, Terri to come stay with Dawson and we left for the dr. She had 2 xrays and found nothing wrong. SO, we got a lesson in "nursemaid elbow" and came home. SIGH I was never so happy to see my baby smile as I was after she was able to move her arm without pain again. So, I'm giving myself til tomorrow to get the rest of this rotten list done. I have a lot to do so I probably will stay as far away from the computer as possible. LOL

BANG BANG BANG
(warning, a really judgemental rant to follow)
Theres a mom I know that I met through matching moms. (she is the same one I ranted about a few weeks ago after she said her kids bottle had koolade in it for extra calories) We really don't have anything in common with one another except that we both plan to homeschool. Anyway, we go to a once a week play time together on thursdays. She has 2 little boys who are 11 months apart. The youngest was born the day after Dawson so hes almost 10 months. She has been complaining for months that her husband is having a hard time finding a job. I know they get food stamps and WIC and probably also get monetary support as well. So, 2 weeks ago she said they were going to be evicted soon if they couldn't figure something out or find her dh a job. He's an auto mechanic (with a specialty in diesel) and evidently has had a hard time finding work. Well (and here is where I get pissed) they have all the cable channels AND DSL cable on their computer!!!! As of this morning, the internet is still up and running but their eviction notice was put in their mail box yesterday and they have to be out by tuesday at 10am! To top it all off, my husband tells me that an automotive place right here on the highway is advertising for a position right out in front of the place! I told her about it and hope maybe he can get a job there. I just can't see how they can let things get so bad with 2 kids in the house. If I were about to be evicted, as hard as it would be for me, I am positive I would leave them and work. I would probably do a 2nd or 3rd shift job so that the kids could stay with daddy, but at least we wouldn't face losing our home! She is on the list for crisis housing but unless they have something open on monday, they are out of luck. I feel really bad for them
